On the journey to safeguarding the healthy growth of minors, every act of care becomes a guiding star illuminating the path ahead. On May 29th, the 'Xixin Child Protection' public welfare initiative for litigation-involved minors was officially launched through a collaboration between the SY Foundation, Wuxi Liangxi District Civil Affairs Bureau, and Wuxi Liangxi District People's Court. The program specifically targets minors involved in legal proceedings, providing comprehensive support including living assistance, educational funding, medical aid, and psychological counseling. Through targeted assistance and sustained care, the initiative aims to create an umbrella of legal protection and warmth for vulnerable youth.
At the launch ceremony, representatives from the SY Foundation, Wuxi Liangxi District Civil Affairs Bureau, and Wuxi Liangxi District People's Court formally signed a cooperation agreement and disbursed the first special assistance fund, marking the official commencement of the "Xixin Child Protection" project's implementation phase. Moving forward, the program will continuously monitor beneficiaries' development progress, adopting an integrated approach combining financial aid and psychological counseling to comprehensively support the healthy growth of litigation-involved minors.
The "Xixin Child Protection" public welfare program operates through a structured collaboration where the SY Foundation serves as the designated recipient for donations from compassionate individuals and socially responsible enterprises, while the Wuxi Liangxi District People's Court identifies beneficiaries based on the actual needs of vulnerable minors involved in court proceedings and initiates the assistance process, with the Wuxi Liangxi District Civil Affairs Bureau providing overall program oversight and supervision. The initiative extends protection to four key groups: (1) minors victimized in criminal cases, (2) underage claimants in civil cases who cannot obtain due compensation, (3) vulnerable minors identified in family disputes, and (4) juvenile defendants requiring special support.
On the day of the program's launch, the SY Foundation received its first charitable donation of 50,000 yuan from Wuxi International Financial Commercial Factoring Co., Ltd., and immediately disbursed an initial 10,000 yuan in financial assistance to the beneficiaries.
During the launch ceremony, Chen Yao, Director of Wuxi Liangxi District Community Service Management Center, emphasized in her address: "The 'Xixin Child Protection' program focuses on litigation-involved minors, playing a vital role in strengthening the support system for vulnerable groups. These minors face more complex challenges than their peers and require greater care and assistance. Moving forward, the Liangxi District Civil Affairs Bureau will intensify efforts to refine the juvenile care framework by prioritizing three pillars: targeted assistance, professionalized services, and community-wide participation."
Wu Hanyang, Deputy Chief Judge of Wuxi Liangxi District People’s Court, also stated: "Through adjudicating cases involving minors, we have observed that litigation-involved minors often face unique hardships, necessitating special care and protection. We hope the 'Xixin Child Protection' program will provide these vulnerable youths with tailored support and compassionate intervention, helping them overcome adversity and rekindle hope for the future. The Liangxi Court will further strengthen and refine judicial safeguards for minors, enhancing the quality of legal protections while mobilizing broader governmental and societal collaboration to foster the healthy development of young people."
Wu Na, Chairperson of the SY Foundation, emphasized in her address: "Minors represent the future of our nation and the hope of our people. Their healthy growth is not only vital to family well-being but also crucial to social harmony, stability, and the long-term development of our country. Through the 'Xixin Child Protection' program, we aim to raise public awareness about the importance of supporting litigation-involved minors in distress. We call upon more individuals to join us in championing this cause—every donation, every volunteer effort, and every word of encouragement can serve as a beacon of hope, illuminating a brighter path forward for these children."
The SY Foundation has always prioritized the healthy development of minors, carrying out numerous philanthropic initiatives across diverse sectors. The well-being and future of young people are not only fundamental to the happiness of millions of families but also essential to social harmony and stability. With the launch of the "Xixin Child Protection" initiative, we aim to provide tangible care and support to litigation-involved minors in distress—offering them the warmth and strength of society, and empowering them to face the future with courage and hope, even in adversity.
The SY Foundation was established by SY Holdings Group Limited (Stock Code: 6069.HK) and officially registered with the Civil Affairs Bureau in 2021, where it earned an AAA rating in the social organization assessment. Since its inception, the Foundation has remained committed to its core mission of supporting vulnerable groups, focusing on three key areas: "Care for Children in Distress," "Youth Empowerment Initiatives," and "Rural Revitalization Assistance." Through diverse public welfare programs, the Foundation actively works to spread warmth and hope across society. As of December 31, 2024, its cumulative charitable expenditures have exceeded RMB 14 million, benefiting over 15,000 individuals.
Moving forward, the SY Foundation will continue to safeguard the healthy development of minors with love and responsibility, ensuring every child can thrive under the sun and embrace a brighter future. We also call for broader societal collaboration to jointly build a robust protective ecosystem for litigation-involved minors.
